Low Newton

Situated in the wonerfully scenic Embleton Bay with views to Dunstanburgh Castle, Low Newton is a small fishing village consisting of a picture perfect hamlet with it's whitewashed stone cottages surrounding a grassed open ended square which nestle's close to the beach. In the corner of the square lies The Ship Inn, a delightful old world pub serving food and local beer from their own micro brewery. Visitors can sit and enjoy the views outside as there are numerous tables provided. There are many options for walks either north or south along the coast from here. Low Newton pool is also reached via a short walk from the village. Low Newton is around 20 miles from Felton via the A1, however it is possible to reach this wonderful place by taking the Northumberland Coastal Route in order to sample other delights such as Alnmouth , Craster etc.
